Alternate Route and Trekking Journey

  • Start Point - Delhi to Chopta: The trek kicks off from Delhi, with a drive towards Chopta, where the trek to Tungnath begins. The route passes through lush green meadows, forests, and small villages.
  • Chopta to Tungnath: The trek from Chopta to Tungnath is easy to moderate. The path is well-defined, passing through alpine meadows and forests, giving trekkers an unforgettable Himalayan experience.
  • Tungnath to Chandrashila: For those looking for a challenge, extending the trek to Chandrashila Peak is an excellent option. This part of the trek involves a steep climb but rewards trekkers with a view of the Himalayan peaks and valleys.
  • Tungnath to Deoriatal: After completing the trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila, trekkers return to Chopta and head toward Deoriatal. This route offers an easy descent and is about 2-3 hours long.
  • Deoriatal to Sari Village: After spending time at Deoriatal, trekkers descend towards Sari Village, where the trek concludes. It’s a relatively short downhill trek.

Arrival & Camp

Take a pit stop at Devprayag to witness the confluence of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda rivers. After arriving in Chopta Valley, check-in to our campsite/homestay, go for a forest walk, and enjoy a warm bonfire with snacks and dinner.

Day 2: Tungnath & Chandrashila Trek

Adventure Trek

Wake up early for sunrise and drive to the starting point. Trek to Tungnath - the World's highest temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Trek further to Chandrashila Peak at 13,000 ft, then trek back to Chopta for dinner and overnight stay.
